Win the Silver SCCA Wire Wheel Pendant Sweepstakes!
The SCCA is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and no symbol is more iconic in representing the club over that history than the SCCA Wire Wheel Logo. On March 26th we drew the winner of a solid gold pendant of the SCCA wire wheel – congratulations to Katherine Lindsey of the Washington DC Region SCCA!
The SCCA Foundation is excited to announce that we have been gifted a SILVER version of the SCCA Wire Wheel Logo Pendant to give away in a second sweepstakes as benefitting the Women on Track program!
Donors to this sweepstakes fundraiser will be entered to win this beautiful sterling silver pendant. The pendant is just slightly smaller in diameter than a quarter. It is 2 millimeters of 925 sterling silver and weighs approximately 6 grams. The estimated retail value of the pendant based on today's silver and custom jewelry prices is $1,000.
The pendant was created and generously donated to the SCCA Foundation by Larry and Tere Pulliam. Larry is a bench jeweler and retired in 2018 after 50 years in the family's wholesale jewelry business. Larry had always wanted to do a piece of SCCA jewelry and after retiring he had the time to pursue his wishes. The design of the pendant was approved by SCCA Inc in 2019 when Tere was still on the National Board of Directors. The pendant not only honors the SCCA's 80-year history as represented by its most iconic logo, but also provides a beautiful way to display the wearer's passion for the club to everyone who sees it.
100% of the proceeds from this sweepstakes will go to support the SCCA Foundation's Women On Track program. This program facilitates participation by women in all aspects of the Club's programs from driving to event administration and leadership. Every year the Foundation and the WOT program fund scholarships to facilitate women's participation in autocross, road racing as drivers and workers, road rally, time trials, and rally cross. The program provides further support through mentorships and support programs.
