Meeting was called to order by Jeff at 7:02 PM Eastern Time.
A motion was made by Howard, seconded by Tere to approve the March meeting minutes. Motion passed. Velma will forward the minutes for March to Jim and he will forward them to Joseph Marney to post on the SCCA Foundation website.
FINANCIAL REPORT – Justin

Executive Director Report - Clay
Operations
The Foundation has a new phone number. 785-862-7137
The Foundation has completed a 2-sided one-sheet form to support the fundraising efforts. A one-sheet form has been completed for the Champions Circle.
Clay and Jeff participated in a presentation from Bloomerang, a non-profit fundraising and donor management software system. A contract should be executed for this service this month. A meeting on April 29th with Aimee Thoennes took place to discuss this new program and streamlining donations between NetForum and Bloomerang.
A $1,000 restricted gift intended to support TRSS programming in the NW Region was received. This will require discussion regarding restricted gifts. Policy will be drafted for board approval at the May meeting.
Fundraising Committee – Jeff, Clay, Charlie
Donor Report for March discussed.
Michael Kuehn, SCCA member and Porsche racer, discussed with Clay the possibility of a stock donation. Michael estimates the stock to be approximately $25,000. Arrangements were made with the bank to receive the gift. Clay, Jeff and Justin had a follow-up call with Michael to finalize details and thank Mr. Kuehn.
Charlie will present the Top 100 donors list to the Foundation board to ask for their help with making introductions to members about continuing donations.

This matter has been fully resolved by the prize vendor.
TireRack Street Survival Committee – Howard, Linda
36 confirmed events, 5 more than 2025.
Susan Puls, along with her husband Randy, will be the new Central Zone coordinator to replace Carla Russo. Other new team members include Cal Craner in Idaho and Jeanette Wicks and Van Townsend in Colorado.
Regions hosting schools have received their reimbursement within 2 weeks of submitting their final report.
Work continues on minor waivers.
More presenters are needed. May use the SCCA Academy to achieve this program.
University/College Partnership Opportunity
Article published about an internship program that SCCA member Bill Moore funds with his MSPort Racing Team.
5 interns from UNOH (University of Northwest Ohio) and Purdue University come to his shop to learn basic team functions and crew for MSports at select races.
This program could be a model for initiating a partnership with colleges and universities aligned with our vision.
Al Noe, Marketing Director for Summit Racing, recommended that the Foundation consider the benefits of using our FSAE relationship in establishing motorsports educational opportunities.
Grants
Arizona Region has requested financial help with purchasing loaner helmets. This will be pursued with SPS/Dave Whitworth.
Communications – Jim
New design for Foundation website took place with Joseph Marney. Draft design will be presented to the board at the May board meeting. Updates to contact page have also been made.
Archives – Bob
Clay met with Margaret Lawrence, Executive Director of the IMRRC, on April 9th via TEAMS. A new part-time archivist has been hired to help with the SCCA information and get back on schedule. The majority of the inquiries that they receive are for driver records. They will have 35,000 driver records digitized and available by July 1.
Will work with the IMRRC to identify items from the SCCA collection that could possibly be monetized or used to support fundraising. Margaret will work with her team on this project.

Wendi Allen Scholarships have been awarded
A new member has joined the TT program
Formula SAE – Howard and Clay
Carroll Smith Cup
The decision was made to pass on making this award for 2026. There were very few nominations. This will be reevaluated in 2027 for possibly other options.
Veterans Motorsports – Clay
AUSA Update
Meeting took place on April 3rd, with Fort Carson 1SGT Shawn Vik. He is encouraged by the program and is wondering how many schools the SCCA could support each year. Their goal would be monthly schools. For 2026, the agreement is to host two schools.
Target date of June 19th, with a RMSolo Summer Series event to follow on the 20th. Command wants 20-25 MPs to attend this first school. A site visit is next on the agenda along with the RMSolo team and Safety Steward.
