The meeting was called to order by Jeff at 7:01 PM Eastern Time.

A motion was made by Jim, seconded by Howard, to approve the June meeting minutes. The motion passed with a request by Howard to verify that there are plans to incorporate registration for Tire Rack Street Survival schools into SCCA’s new online registration system. This has yet to be finalized. Velma will forward the minutes to Jim, and he will forward them to Joseph Marney to post on the SCCA Foundation website.

FINANCIAL REPORT – Justin

  • The financial report was presented.

  • Restricted and unrestricted funds and the budget were discussed.

  • Year-to-date donations are trailing 2025.

  • The raffle is open and doing well.

  • The second IMRRC payment is due.

  • The audit has been delayed, and Justin is working on the 2025 extension.

  • The Treasurer’s Report was accepted.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Executive Director Report – Clay

  • Clay represented the Foundation at the July Board of Directors meeting.

  • New website update:

    • The target launch date is August 1, 2026.

    • Website: https://sccafoundation.wpenginepowered.com/

    • Clay asked Foundation members to review the website and provide updates, corrections, or ideas.

    • Several suggestions were given to Clay regarding improved website navigation and programs and stories to include.

    • An “About Us” section that links to SCCA Inc. is needed.

  • Work continues on the Loaner Helmet Program with a new supplier/vendor.

    • Snell 2025 helmets have been difficult to find in the quantities needed for the Foundation program.

  • PPIR is closing. Regions will need to work on acquiring new sites.

  • Progress on the major gifts program was reviewed.

Fundraising Committee – Jeff, Clay, and Charlie

  • The June Donor Report was discussed.

  • Bloomerang is working well, with more functions expected in August.

  • The Porsche sweepstakes is going well. Emails are being sent to SCCA members.

    • The car will be displayed at several car shows, beginning August 12 at Pebble Beach and continuing through the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale in January or February.

    • The drawing will take place after the Barrett-Jackson Auction.

Tire Rack Street Survival Committee – Howard and Linda

  • 12 schools have been completed.

  • 14 schools are waiting to be completed.

  • Five schools are in process.

  • Two schools are in the planning stages.

  • The student participation price has been discussed.

  • The Chicago Region hosted a school earlier in July with no entry fee for students. The State of Illinois requires anyone teaching a driving school to be certified by the state.

  • A few personnel changes are taking place with BMW.

Communications – Jim

  • Jim continues to serve as the communications contact for the new website.

Archives – Bob

  • Work continues on drivers’ histories.

  • Work continues on the digital collections.

  • IMRRC received 78 requests through May 2026. Nine were from SCCA members. Rachel and Joe will track this information.

  • The IMRRC website is being updated: https://www.racingarchives.org/.

  • A motion was made by Howard, seconded by Bob, to make IMRRC a partner rather than a vendor for the $19,000 payment covering the second half of 2026. The motion passed.

Women on Track – Tere

  • Madeline Anderson is the new RallyCross Chair and is working to revamp the scholarship for RallyCross Nationals.

  • Scholarship applications need to be easier to find.

Formula SAE – Howard

  • No report.

Veterans and Motorsports – AUSA – Clay

  • The program is on hold for now.

OLD BUSINESS

No old business was reported.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Updated information was provided about Night at the Museum in Lincoln on September 5.

    • The Museum of American Speed will be open for the event from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

    • The event is open to anyone attending Solo Nationals or the ProSolo.

    • Tom Stephani will give a 30-minute presentation on the Can-Am Series.

    • Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

    • A motion was made by Howard, seconded by Tere, to donate $1,000 to the Museum of American Speed. The motion passed.
