COMMITTEE REPORTS

AUSA Military partnership update – Clay

  • Fort Carson pilot program approved for mid-May/end-May 2026

    • Clay shared overhead view of the ADAC that will be used – 660’ x 2600’

    • Two potential weekends will be proposed

    • May 16/17 or May 30/31

      • Thought is by having it either of these two weekends, which bookend Spring Nationals, it would be easier to get assistance from the National office.

      • Autocross school on Saturday with an event on Sunday.

      • Will coordinate with Colorado Region for equipment and volunteers.

      • SCCA leadership and AUSA leadership invited to attend.

Champion Circle Major Donor Program Launch - Clay

  • The Champion Circle Major Donor Program will require a $50,000 commitment over 4 years to join

    • Donor will receive a one-color vinyl logo for car/trailer application

    • Flexible payment options

    • Request that the donor work with the SCCA Foundation on potential donors from their networks

    • Mark Weber is confirmed as the inaugural Champion Circle member

Fundraising Strategy and Board Role- Charlie

  • Board member ask

    • Request is being made from each board member of the SCCA Foundation for 100% participation in donating to the Foundation

    • Identify prospects from personal networks

    • Facilitate introductions.  The Foundation will provide materials and follow-up

  • Focus on impact messaging

    • Teen driving safety

    • The availability of on-line training with the SCCA Academy and SCCA workers working at F1/NASCAR/ IndyCar

  • The number of donations made in 2025 discussed.

    • 3,783 donations = 10+ per day.  Amounts range from $5 to $200, in addition to a few larger amounts.

    • Jeff will pass along the list of donors to the board so perhaps members can identify people they may know who would be capable of participating in Champions Circle or larger gifts.

  • We need to focus on what our mission is.  Those in our networks that we are asking to have them make a larger donation deserve and should know what the final mission is.

Sweepstakes Program Evaluation

  • 2025 Monaco sweepstakes: $160K gross, ~53K net after marketing costs

    • Concerns raised

      • High administrative costs impact charity ratings

      • Brand messaging focused on prizes vs. mission

      • Market saturation with competing car giveaways

      • F1 launching competing sweepstakes at each race

      • Continue evaluating and potentially pivot to LeMans or reduce frequency of sweepstakes

      • ROI comparison – major donor strategy may yield better returns than sweepstakes

Program Updates

      Street Survival

  • 7 events confirmed, 7 pending

    • Administrative processes being streamlined with BMW partnership and the three area SCCA members working with Linda Duncan

    • Great Lakes Division convention will have a presentation

    • Will continue to have Tim Beechuk set up registrations on MSR

Women on Track

  • Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund announced 3 recipients for 2026.

  • Over 50 applications were received this year so consideration being given to award more than 3 scholarships if this interest continues

Archives

  • Work continues but is slower than projected.  Meeting will be scheduled in mid-March for Clay, Jeff and Bob to meet with the staff from the IMRRC.

FSAE

  • Exploring a potential change to the Carroll Smith Award.  Perhaps an opportunity for schools that perform well in the dynamic competitions to receive entries to National Solo events.

Museum of American Speed

  • Continue to work to get Mike Cobb to present of his quarterly reports from MAS in the area where the SCCA exhibit is located.

Website and Technology Issues

  • The donation process is not an easy process unless a member is renewing their membership.

  • Website maintenance transferred to Joseph Marney

  • Board directory and contact forms need to be updated

  • Foundation may need independent donation platform vs SCCA’s Netforum system

Key Next Steps

  • Charlie will be contacting individual board members to review donor prospect lists.

  • Fort Carson event planning coordination will continue

  • Archives contract amendment meeting (Clay, Jeff, Bob)

  • Website fixes and donation process streamlining
