Women on Track
An official Time Trials committee has been established
The committee was able to start working right away on scholarships for two women to attend the Time Trials Nationals in October at NCM.
They received 7 very good applications and two women have been chosen.
Natalie Haizlip and Cassandra Light are the two recipients
The committee will get an article about these two women to post on the SCCA and the SCCA Foundation website.
Tere brought up the Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund and how those applications and funds are handled.
Currently there are no clear-cut guidelines so Tere will work with the committee involved with the WASF
The scholarships need to be handled as a reimbursement of expenses after a WASF winner has attended events.
An agreement has been reached with Mazda Motorsports and they will be reimbursing the Foundation for the $1500 that was sent to the 3rd WASF winner.
Mazda Motorsports will also be covering the expenses for the WoT brunch on Monday morning at Solo Nationals.
