Meeting was called to order at 8:04PM Eastern Time

Motion to approve the December minutes was motioned by Bob, 2nd by Raleigh. Motion passed.

FINANCIAL REPORT

  • End of year push for donations was successful

  • Donations since the beginning of 2022 have been successful as well

  • Significant uptick in donations by members during membership renewal process

  • Funds from Nebraska Region for the Test and Tune at Solo Nationals has been received

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Howard Duncan ProSolo Green Light Fund (hereafter known as HDPSGLF)  
Conversation with SCCA staff on how to proceed with project

  • Two free ProSolo entries at every ProSolo in 2022 for first-timers

  • We will ask event chairs to select two competitors

  • Evaluate program at the end of the year

  • Code will be used when registering for event through MSR

  • First 2+ years are covered by the Brian Conners donation

  • We’ve requested that the post-event media include a few sentences about the program and the two recipients at that event        

Chris Robbins meeting on the Learning Management System (hereafter known as LMS)

  • $50,000 requested in 2022 to continue building the online training program, does not have to be paid all at once

  • Chris’ presentation will be available after this call

  • Training based on FIA framework for training officials

  • All disciplines will have training available

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

  • Donations were strong through the end of 2021 and into January, 2022

  • After the convention, work with Mike Cobb to finalize the next sweepstakes

  • Peterson Museum is available and open to another sweepstakes for SCCA

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Website

  • Request to have the Foundation committee look at the website before the February conference call

  • A few issues have come up and been rectified

  • Velma to send minutes to Rachel after they have been approved by the Foundation board, starting with the December minutes

  • Jim has offered to take on writing articles about the Foundation for SportsCar and will see that those articles are also cross-posted to the Foundation website

TIRE RACK STREET SURVIVAL COMMITTEE

Scott Dobler’s contract will be extended

  • Scott has a presentation during the convention and will make presentations at any of the Divisional meetings, either in person or virtually

  • Connecting with Regions to re-engage with the TRSS program

ARCHIVES

  • Bob Eddy and Jenny Ambrose from the IMRRC have a presentation for the convention

  • Work with Regions to get more involved with submitting information and their newsletters to the IMRRC

    • Include information on the Foundation website on what Regions need to know to get information submitte

    • Arnie will send information to Bob about guidelines for submitting material for the SCCA Archives

  • Motion made by Bob to send agreed upon funds to the IMRRC for 2022. Jeff seconded.Motion passed

WOMEN ON TRACK

Tere was on Zoom call on Jan. 4th

  • Plans for March Women in SCCA History bios discussed

    • Bios will be posted on WoT Facebook page and then to National Facebook page

    • Philip Royal has article about this project for the February SportsCar

  • Convention presentation will be Linda Duncan, Cherie Storms and Velma Boreen

VETMotorsports and FORMULA SAE

  • VETMotorsports has a presentation during the convention

  • VETMotorsports will be requesting funding in February or March

  • Raleigh will check on the availability of the SCCA Camaro to be used at events

    • Hagerty Insurance is available but the question still is who makes that payment

  • FSAE will have two competitions in 2022, both in Michigan

    • The SCCA trailer will be at the IC event but not the EV event in Michigan

    • There is still concern regarding out-of-country teams being able to attend

    • The Caroll Smith Award will be given at the IC event

OLD BUSINESS

  • Convention presentations discussed

  • Artwork from the Runoffs and offering the option to place bids

    • Jeff will pursue options

NEW BUSINESS

There was no new business
