Meeting was called to order at 8:01 PM Eastern Time
Motion to approve the October minutes was made by Bob, 2nd by Raleigh. Motion passed to accept the October minutes. These will be sent to Rachel to post on the SCCA Foundation website.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Jeff Dahnert will send report when complete
Donation list was forwarded to Rachel for September.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Hall of Fame
This project is on hold for now due to Museum of American Speed project with the SCCA Solo 50th anniversary display.
Jim suggested we use Linda St. Angelo as a resource to collect stories around the Hall of Fame display once that is up and running at MAS
Ron Sharp has indicated that he would donate his Hall of Fame award to the MAS to be displayed
Museum of American Speed (MAS) in Lincoln, Nebraska
The MAS construction is scheduled to be completed the beginning of December
Conference call will be scheduled with MAS and SCCA to finalize details regarding 50th Solo anniversary display and cost to SCCA.
Currently there are 6 vehicles that are available for the display
Kristen Poole and her group will put together the verbiage
Coordination of getting the cars to Lincoln will need to be finalized
This display will be ready by April 2023 and will be at the MAS through Solo Nationals in 2023.
The display for after the Solo Nationals display will need to be worked on right away
History of racing groups - Spec Miata, Showroom Stock?
Loaner Helmet Program
Helmets are on their way to Topeka this week
Arnie will have Abby get information to the Regions and the helmets will also be on the Region merchandise on the website
RaceQuip was purchased by Holley Performance so future programs like this may or may not be available. Arnie will work to keep those lines of communication open.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
October 2022 Donations Report
166 Donations totaling $4,254.03
2022-23 Sweepstakes Prizes Update – we have several potential sweepstakes in the works:
Skip Barber 3-Day Racing School package, with a $6,500 value.
The Skip Barber 3-Day Racing School sweepstakes will open soon.
Drawing will take place during the virtual SCCA National convention in January, 2023.
Hendricks Motorsports NASCAR Package
Bob is continuing to make progress on this package.
This would have a spring/summer launch
October, 2023 race in Charlotte.
Legacy Giving Initiative
Work continues on this project

TIRE RACK STREET SURVIVAL COMMITTEE
There has been a job posting in Kerry Speed to fill the position of coordinator for Tire Rack Street Survival
Arnie, Carla, Jeff and the BMW committee have had a meeting regarding funds from BMW to SCCA. Most of those funds have been sent to SCCA, with the balance coming before the end of the year.
A TRSS Summit held virtually was discussed
Bi-monthly check in between SCCA and BMW
Tire Rack still on board and happy with the program
ARCHIVES
Work continues at the IMRRC. Due to funding from SCCA, time that can be spent is limited
Bob, Jenny and Mark will be meeting to discuss any budget changes for the IMRRC for 2023
Bob made a motion to approve additional $2600 to pay Joe and Rick at the IMRRC for November and December, 2022 to allow them to work 30 hours per week during those two months. Jim seconded. The motion passed.
Bob made a motion to approve gift cards of $600 each, total of $1800, to be sent to Joe, Rick and Jenny for the holiday season. Tere seconded. The motion passed. Bob will work with Jeff Dahnert on the best way to handle the gift cards and also authorize the payment of the additional $2600 for Joe and Rick to work 30 hours per week through the end of the year.
WOMEN ON TRACK
Women On Track had their conference call on Tuesday, November 1, 2022
The 2023 budget was discussed
Jeff will talk to Kristen Poole on marketing funds from Shirts 101 back to the Foundation
Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund and the committee involved with that program being addressed by Jeff.
Sydney let Linda, Tere and Velma know that she would be off the committee at the end of the year. Dan Dennehy will be approached as a replacement for Sydney.
REGION DEVELOPMENT GRANTS
22 Regions have indicated an interest
6 Regions will receive the grants
16 Regions will not receive grants
The plan is to give grants every quarter.
Region will be asked to report back on their progress with this program
VETMotorsports and FORMULA SAE
Raleigh has submitted a budget and is expecting expense report from VETMotorsports yet in November
The program has been very successful at the Regional level
They will be asking for $1000 more for 2023.
Formula SAE will have two competitions in 2023, both taking place at Michigan International Speedway
Internal combustion vehicle competition is scheduled for May 17-20, with a 125-car maximum.
Electric vehicle competition is scheduled for June 14-17, with a 120-car maximum
Can the SCCA Foundation request that Foundation decals be on cars?
Suggestion was to make them available.
OLD BUSINESS
2023 Budgets will be discussed at the next meeting. Carla has indicated that she is willing to help with the process. Get information to her before the December meeting
NEW BUSINESS
Need to get someone to take over what Carla has been doing with budgets.
Kristen Poole would like our budgets numbers as soon as possible
